Add a CommentNot for everyone. But personally I loved it. If you enjoy extrapolating on 'what if' questions, the inner workings of science intrigue you, and you happen to like movies like momento or inception that cause you to have to analyze the script and pose questions about reality then you are probably a good candidate to like this movie. You have to be willing to pay attention a lot and still not necessarily get it. I had a friend show it to me who had already done some research on it so he explained some of the more confusing aspects after we watched it. After thinking about it a bit I realized the movie was very well thought out. I'm looking forward to watching it again with other friends. Rubix cube is a good analogy. PS my girlfriend feel asleep while we were watching it and I can think of at least one other friend who it would have that effect on so I know its not for everyone;)
This is a really complicated Rubix Cube of movie that you have to watch multiple times to understand. I still am not sure if I totally understand 100% of what went on and I watched it twice. It was made on a real credit card budget and the product is pretty good. If you liked "Momento" than you will probably like this movie.
You have to watch closely and probably view at least twice to try to figure out what happened. But it is well worthwhile to do so. The physics has been well veted though the possiblity of time travel is still doubted. As much as the mystery and science, the psychological aspects are even more interesting---what would you do if you knew the future and could influence it. It reminds me of "Colossus: The Forbin Project" [Ron Howard may remake] that asks if a computer could outlaw war and solve the mysterys of science, would man still want the "freedom" to desroy itself..
It is impossible to underrate this film- it literally put me to sleep multiple times. Monotone delivery, 'science' babble that is easily identifiable as such, and a total lack of visual flair make for a dull, drawn out one-trick pony.
Confusing but spellbinding.
