Summaries
Add a SummaryBella is the least appealing protagonist in a novel since Patrick Bateman. Avoid.
This was my first hook into vampire books...
Bella Swan moves from Phoenix to Forks to live with her father. There she meets the Cullens, who seem different from everyone else, and even more than human.
Bella Swan is not your typical seventeen-year-old high school junior. She is bookish, intelligent and perceptive. She couldn't care less about things like cute boys, school dances and becoming part of the "it" crowd. She is prone to accidents and prefers quiet nights alone cooking or reading a book than nights gossiping on the phone. When her mother marries an athlete and decides to travel around with him, Bella decides to live full-time with her father in Forks, Washington, a small town near Seattle. She hates Forks because it rains a lot, but her high school life is different from the one she had in Phoenix. Boys want to go out with her and she makes new friends as soon as she gets there. But no one in school is as interesting as the mysterious crowd who sit at the same lunch table everyday. They are outsiders, that much is certain. But they are also very attractive and intriguing, especially Edward Cullen. He seems to dislike Bella from the moment he sees her. What could be the reason for his hostility? But as he reluctantly gets closer, Bella becomes all the more drawn to the drop-dead gorgeous seventeen-year-old whose eyes change color and whose skin is so pale it seems to glow. Who is he? Or, more to the point, *what* is he? Edward lets her know in no uncertain terms that he is dangerous, that he fights unnatural urges whenever she's near. However, it may be too late for Bella to stay away from him, for she is in love.

Comment
Add a CommentI think people need to seriously stop hating on the Twilight Saga and Stephenie Meyer. WE GET IT, YOU DON'T LIKE THE BOOKS SO STOP TALKING ABOUT THEM. Stephenie Meyer is a human being, no one in this world is perfect. You can state your opinion, thats fine, but as soon as you're just ranting, and hating and calling people names, you can shut up. You obviously don't like them so why read it? Before you write some biased review on something you don't like, use your brain.
This book nice i guess
I havet read the book jet but I want to It seems awsome :)
this is the best book ever!
i just have one question: WHY THE HECK DOES THIS STUPID BOOK EVEN EXIST?!!!
This book is the only semi-decent one in the series. Although, like the others it contains plotholes, flawless characters, and not very many decent rolemodels. Isabella Marie Swan, is seventeen, and the rolemodel of the house? Please. Her mother is a woman who should have never gotten knocked up. Edward Cullen: Beautiful, rich, beautiful, stalker, pedophile, beautiful. I used the word 'beautiful' many times, because his beauty is mentioned way too many times in the series. He watches a seventeen year old sleep, where he is one hundred and nine. Please explain to me how this is love? It's stalking. Not romantic. If you are looking for a good book, I suggest Harry Potter.
i thought this book was written so beautifully and was just amazing. i read this book over millions of times and never get bored of it. the way the author writes her descriptions are just astonishing and so complex in a way that you can actually imagine what is going on. but the thing is is that this book has become so wildly popular just because of the celebrites playing each of the characters. i was very disappointed when i saw the movie because most of the things in the book were not shown in the movie. also, there were some parts in the movie where the situation or problem never occured in the book. all in all, great book but not so great movie. i know i shouldn't be talking about the movie in this comment but i just want to say that the book is always better than the movie.
jesus freakin christ...this book was alright for a little bit...but then there were twilight shirts pants hoodies lunch boxes and(i have shunned my sister for owning a pair)... twilight under clothes...i know that people just like it but...it was kid of like that book that your mom doesnt want you to read even though she does...personally i'm only watching the movies for the sexy werewolf guys other than that its a waste...the whole series...especially if youre team jacob
I can live with a poorly written book, such as twilight, but the issue arrises when people become obsessed with poor quality. there's easily a dozen people in the comments that have read this book 10 times! Not to mention the fact that its telling girls to get married before having sex, which just leads to a bunch of teenagers getting married-just what we need, an even higher divorce rate. why don't we just ban the pill, plan B, and abortions while we're at it. that'l make Stephenie Meyer happy.
