Comment
Add a CommentThis book tries hard to be funny, but usually fails. The problem is the author's indomitable self-centeredness. For example, at one point he destroys a rental car by prying off the fuel cap with a pocketknife and filling the vehicle with gasoline (it ran on diesel). He shows no realization of what he has done other than as a source of personal embarrassment. It might appeal to a select audience of other overprivileged losers, those capable of feeling sorry for someone whose wife buys cashmere outfits for their 3-month-old, but not for most of us.
