The film brings Miller's acclaimed graphic novel to life by combining live action with virtual backgrounds that capture his distinct vision of this ancient historic tale.

Spartans! I'm going to yell like this the entire movie!
Blah blah blah, yadda yadda yadda.
Difficult to take seriously. Film length would be reduced by 15 minutes if all the slo-mo shots were played at actual speed.
Watchable (Fair). This is good technical film but I have lots of reservations about the story. Is it possible to have too much of a good thing that it begins to be boring - that's what happened in this picture. Too many fight scenes one after another that by the 3rd or 4th, you ask yourself "am I in a video game?" There is no character development at all. Some of the battle scenes are exaggerated to the point of not being credible at all. Colors and feel of the film is different and eye catching. Again, watch it and forget about it - you will.
Very much like the visuals, which were mostly computer generated. Costumes and make up (for the ghouls) were also visually satisfying
Great movie - innovative, and if you are at least a bit interested in ancient Greece, you will definitely enjoy this extraordinary movie.
Battle epic meets video game with boring, mechanical results. The film does boast some spectacular male torsos and visuals based on Frank Miller's graphic novel--but not nearly enough of them to justify suffering through the whole thing--not even once.
