Add a CommentHaving read and loved most of Kim Stanley Robinson's novels I was astonished at how terrible this book is. Everything from the stereotypical characters to the names of the made up countries and organizations (Khembali? Optimodal? Advanced Research and Development Agency Prime???) makes it clear he just mailed this one in. Skip Sixty Days and Counting for Galileo's Dream or better yet, the Mars trilogy.
KSR does a creditable job of writing Science Fiction that is more science than fiction. His world and science are believable and the plot realistic. The Mars series (Trilogy) got me hooked and this series on climate change is even better.
A very good book. It is a great way to learn the possibilities of climate change and enjoy a couple evenings.
