Loved this books along with all the other one's from it's series!

Again, I'm impressed and want the next book. There's moments where it's so well-written, not in a literary way but in a "oh, isn't that that the truth" way. The plot gallops along like a Dave Duncan book. And there's another cliffhanger ending!

This was a page turner. One thing: At the end I thought, "Is Claire stupid? Why would she do that? Amelie is such a..."

great read.....way better than the first one. really engaging. cant wait for the next on. i mean things r becoming so unexpeceted. n what does Amelie really want???? Is she a friend or a foe? i dont understand. but for some reason i like her.

This series is awesome with a different take on the vampire story. I loved the characters and felt myself lost for hours in them,once finished rushing out to buy the next book. Highly recommend!

Sequels are a tricky thing. As excited as you are for them you always worry that the author is going to miss that lovely feel that the first book held. That it'll lack the magic and you'll be horribly disappointed. That's my fear with sequels. Caine missed all those potholes and manages to build off the first book and make this sequel ridiculously enjoyable. Kudos to her! The Dead Girls' Dance takes up right after where the first one ends. I like that Caine didn't fast forward us to months in the future but instead continued right off. That we didn't lose the feel or have to be told (one of my pet peeves) what happened. Instead we were shown, we got to be in the moment and watch as it all unfolded. I love that. I love how raw and real the characters are. I love the relationship between Shane and Claire has unfolded and it's got so much Buffy/Angel moments between them. How protective and broken Shane is and yet how sweet he can be with Claire. I love the stolen smoochies and how neither of them lose themselves in this book. Cannot stand when the characters morph into polar opposites once they become an item. They (all the characters) are still as we know them yet Caine allows them to grow. She brings in large and small obstacles to bring on these changes and growth. The plot is heavy (in a teen way) and doesn't skim over any of the issues that Caine brings up. I like that she deals with family dynamics and issues without glazing 'em over. And there's still a cliff hanger at the end (something I both love and hate) but lots is resolved and lots if sorta resolved but not, which leaves room for the other books in the series. I'm ridiculously curious about what Eve's brother is going to bring to the table. *que music* All in all this is rapidly becoming on of my favorite teen series, in fact it could be my favorite teen series.
