I absolutely LOVE (with a capital L!) this book! And it's very hard for me to LOVE a book-I can like most books but I really love just a few, and this is one! I really hope that there's a sequel because They seem to have cut it short, and I'd love to read more of Lucius and Jessica! I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone whol likes/loves vampire romance/high school romance and love triangles! Don't forget the suspense either!! A-MAZ-ING BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!

It seemed like this whole plot was taken out of other books. The family dispute was like Romeo and Juliet, Faith (Jessica's horse racing rival) and Lucius' relationship was like Wuthering Heights and the whole vampire part (The royalty and what her vampire myth) was just like vampire academy. The only real thing the author created was the characters and she did a good job. Jessica is the girl next door with some attitude and Lucius is the over- protective big brother. She developed the characters really well, but they were just too...regular, I guess; everyone has someone like both of those characters in their lives. But even so, it felt like you could relate to each of the characters at almost every given time. I think the part in the novel I loved was the corny romantic parts. But even though those parts were sweet, it still felt like an older brother would say the same kind of things Lucuis said. However, even though the author did not use literacy terms well, the book was still pretty good. I like all three of the books Fantaskey used and she did it well.

I really enjoyed the arrogant, sarcastic, and witty attitude of the vampire in this story. I originally was hesitant to read this book and thought that it was going to be totally boring, but I was out of books so I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised! I found this book to be quite a page turner. This book was so funny, and I really felt like the author did a good job making me feel a connection to the characters, especially Lucius. This book was nothing like Twilight, which was my biggest fear. I did not want to read another cheap Twilight knockoff. Luckily, this book, and it's characters, have a personality all their own.

Book Review Jessica’s Guide to Dating on the Dark Side By Beth Fantaskey Jessica is an average teenage girl, whose family is a major diet-concerned group, avoiding specific dairy products and meat. She believes that she is an ordinary girl… until she meets Lucius, a foreign exchange student. At first, he appears to be the cute guy every girl is swooning about, but Jessica’s view on him is completely different. She knows that there is something weird going on. It turns out, she was right. Jessica learns that she has been descended from an old group of Romanian vampires and that her parents aren’t even her actual parents! To top things off, she is betrothed to Lucius, the vampire who is living in her house… and trying to win her love! Jessica is your typical average character, but she shows traces of spunk and determination after her encounter with Lucius. She is also quite stubborn, not believing Lucius countless times throughout the book. Lucius is portrayed as this male student who is always there to protect Jessica, as is his duty. No matter what insults or reluctance Jessica dishes at him, he always rebounds with almost no scratches and plenty of sarcastic retorts. I greatly enjoyed this book! The sarcastic and funny remarks trading off from each character is quite hilarious to read and I really liked the unforgotten tension between the two main characters. Twilight would be a semi-similar book that readers may enjoy reading. I believe that females of ages 12 and above would enjoy reading this book. Also, people who love to read about vampires should definitely try this!

It`s a shame that the cover doesn`t do any justice to the book. I would have never read it if it weren`t for my friend.

Oh my goodness- this book is amazing! I absolutely loved it... to this day, it is still one of my favorite books that I plan to re-read. The relationship between Jess and Lucius was so romantic, or at least it was filled with romantic tension! Also, Lucius was so sarcastically funny. I definately recommend this book to all the romance comedy lovers out there (I am one!).
