I love these books a lot. All about the environment and you don't even need to read the books in order! Scat was good, but my favourite book out of this three-book-series would be flush.
This book was one of my top favorites and surely everyone would enjoy reading this YRCA book!
The book SCAT is an amazing YRCA book that everyone would surely like to read!I personally enjoyed it alot!
Well written, and the environmental message wasn't too pushy. Great pick for YRCA!
you can see once you read the book how all the different viewpoints come together. The ending really surprises you and you don't know what's coming
As an adult, I enjoy reading fiction for middle readers and young adult. This book was great fun and I felt that the portrayals of Nick and Marta were fair, making them equals in their relationship as friends. The message Hiaasen about the dangers facing the Florida environment is skillfully interwoven throughout the plot. He is not preachy, but makes readers care about what will happen to one of the animal protagonists in the story. He does not offer a fairy-tale ending to the story with regard to possible environmental damage, but makes a suggestion as to how oil-drilling companies may get away with unlawful acts. Nick and Marta are brave kids, and a father in the film is downright kooky with his funny bird.
Complex, outrageous, satisfying!
love Hiaasen's kids books, building his future audience for his guilty pleasure adult books!
another great book by Carl Hiassen
