Add a CommentI don't find this an easy book to read. maybe it would be better for older children. Possibly teenagers.
This was a nice book about friendship. I think Michiko was very cute. I read it in my book club and I think that it was a very sweet book.
This is the story of nine year old Michiko Minagawa’s family in British Columbia in 1942. Michiko’s life is changed when all men are ordered out of Vancouver including her father. A week later the rest of her family packs up and leaves with hundreds of Japanese-Canadians on a train to the interior of British Columbia.
