Add a CommentThis is really good. i would say they have returned to the energy of the early albums. Gonna See My Friend, and The Fixer are highlights.
This was my favorite band when I was a teenager. Can't say I like them much anymore, nor do I like this album (at all). Bad lyrics, listless melodies, unvaried overall sound. Reminiscent of the mediocre band that the Pearl Jam I used to listen to inspired: Nickelback.
A signal that Pearl Jam is moving on by going back to basics, this is easily one of the best albums of 2009. I also highly recommend requesting Pearl Jam's crowning achievement from the 90's, Vitalogy.
Give me Pearl Jam's old stuff anyday over this CD! Eddie Vedder should stick to his solo career.
