Funny and entertaining. No masterpiece, but it makes for a good date movie.
It is junk
its a funny movie
Paul Rudd's character Peter, tries to act cool but his actions just make him look and sound foolish.
A funny and light movie.
I was so disappointed. Paul Rudd, Jon Favreau, and Jason Seigel are better than this movie. They're all really funny guys. This movie definately didn't maximize their potential.
Fair - I Love You, Man (2009) 105 min. The film is about a guy about to marry who, by accident, over hears his fiancée’s girlfriends mentioning how clingy Peter Klaven (played by Paul Rudd) will be because he lacks male friends. Determined to find a friend, he searches the net to find his “best” friend and begins going on “man-dates”. By chance, he meets Sydney Fife (played by Jason Segel) and hit it off. The “humour” in this film is obviously the situation of searching for a friend. Unfortunately, the film is void of laughs; not even a mild “ha”. It’s like watching a train wreck that’s impossible to turn your eyes from. Paul Rudd does a great Chandler impersonation (from Friends) as Peter Klaven and for most of the film, I simply felt uncomfortable for this loser trying to be something he isn’t. Even Jason Segel’s charm can’t seem to lift this film from mediocrity.
