Add a CommentIt was really hard to get into this at first because Ted is SO AWFUL to Meg and you really don't want her to hook up with such a jerk. But later in the book Ted seems to develop a conscience, which helps. This was a good read and I generally like the author, so I enjoyed it.
Really enjoyed this book! I'm not usually a chick lit fan, but this was a great read. This is the first time I'd read books by Phillips. I went back to the library and got Glitter Baby. She really should write a series about the Koranda family.
Wow! Me reading RomCom. OK. I'm a guy and usually read Grisham and Sandford and mysteries - all law and detectives and police work. Nevertheless, this author (Susan - who I now follow on Twitter because her tweets are like micro-books :-), she really turned this old guys head around and turned my heart on. What a wonderful writer. I've read lots of her books (and some them twice) - she rarely disappoints me. I will confess I am a major Jane Austen fan too, so she's in good company. C
I really enjoyed this book. Laughed a lot at those many unexpected situations Meg found herself having to deal with. I'll try to read more books by S.E Phillips now. Great Summer reading for sure!
Wonderful romance...Susan is a new author to me...now I want to read her other books.
hi, i have already returned this book on the due date. please correct this. thank you.
Was looking forward to reading this as she is my favourite author. A guilty pleasure so to speak. The characters were very similar to those in Ain't She Sweet. It wasn't up to par. She also didn't spend any time developing Ted's character. There was no inner dialogue or inner thoughts except for those of Meg's. It made the book less enjoyable to read and Ted's character appear flat and unidimensional. Was highly disappointed in this one.
Another winner from SEP. I thought the people of Wynette were a little to harsh with Meg. But as in all of SEP's books the happy ending is just around the corner
I love how Phillips novels stand alone, but she also draws in characters from her previous novels. Humorous, light & refreshing story as always. One of my favorite authors.
The romantic and comedic fallout of a small town, high profile wedding canceled at the last minute.
