I LOVE this book. but one down turn was it felt like the author was skipping out on movements and actions because it's like, how'd she get there? But otherwise it was a amazing book and i just got the third one. AMAZING!!!!

The book is getting a big buzz because it makes a great movie about teenagers escaping the walking dead. I didn't like the book itself; the story is good but the way it is presented bored me to death!

Amazing storyline!!!! Although at certain parts I wanted to pretty much kill the author, but then again I think so did a lot of people at a specific point. I enjoyed the point of view, and I'm happy she didn't change pov, since so many authors do that to be more dramatic. I've read so many books like that it just pisses me off now. Carrie Ryan did an excellent job of telling the story from Mary's pov. It was a little confusing at times in the action spots, she would leave out details and I found myself having to reread some parts. What I enjoyed was that Mary was not perfect, or loved at all times. Actually most of the time I wanted to kill her for being so selfish to everyone. I wanted to change places with her, and show her what love really is! Although I found this book to be a lot like other romances, with the whole falling too quickly stereotype. To sum it up I really found myself not liking Mary, and I found that to be amazing since every book the author makes the protagonist perfect (I just hate that). I totally love Travis and Harry though!! They should consider teaching a course about love (well if they were real), because so many people have a lot to learn about love!

At the beginning of the story I didn't know what to think about the sisterhood, the guardians, and the unconsecrated. First of all the sisterhood seem to me that they were mean people who only wanted to ruin their village. As I kept reading the story I realized that I was right and that the sisterhood wanted to destroy Mary. However Mary at the end was able to get rid of the sisters after discovering all their secrets. Also I was really impressed of Mary because at the end she was able to survive the unconsecrated.

When I return my hands are red and raw from gathering the snow. I slowly approach the bed. The patient is calm now, and when he hears my shoes against the wooden floor he turns and I see who it is. "Travis," I gasp. My voice feels raw in my throat and I look around quickly to make sure that Sister Tabitha has not heard me speak. I have no doubt that she would send me into the Forest if she felt the need. "Mary," he wishers. "Oh, Mary." He reaches out and grabs my hand and brings it toward his cheek such that I am pulled forward and I end up stumbling and falling onto my knees next to the bed.
