12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

Description

Indigenous People often visit over tea. While we are unable to do this in-person, we aretaking these visits online. Bring your own mug of tea and hear from Nohkom Jo-Ann, EPL’s Elder-in-Residence. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions.

This virtual tea session will introduce the topic of Treaty, specifically Treaty 6, which is the agreement that applies to Edmonton residents. What are the fundamental components of this agreement for both sides? How was this Treaty part of the continuation of Treaty-making on the prairies? Hear from Nohkom Jo-Ann and share your perspective.
