Events › Design It: Handmade Recipe Cards with Cricut

This class is limited to 8 participants. Registration is required. 

If you love the aesthetic of hand-written recipe cards this project is for you! In this class you will get an interactive exploration of the Cricut Maker. Staff will walk participants through the design elements for drawing and cutting recipe cards and demonstrate how to create a design in Cricut Design Space, learning what works and what doesn't when designing for the Cricut Maker pen tool! 

Participants will have time to develop a design and submit the work to EPL for completion. Once production is complete your recipe card will be available for pick up at your local branch. 

This class is designed for ages 12 and up. The class will be delivered on Zoom with links provided in advance.  

For this class, it's recommended that: 

• Participants are comfortable typing, mousing, and navigating Windows OS files and folders. 
• Participants download and install Cricut Design Space on their computer. The Cricut Design Space mobile app for Android and Apple is not recommended as it is missing some features included in the desktop app that will be used in this class.   

Cricut Maker is a part of the Heat Press and Vinyl Cutting service available at the Stanley A. Milner Library makerspace. Customers are invited to book time to become certified on the Cricut or Heat Press by emailing makerspace@epl.ca or phoning the makerspace at (780) 944-5342.
