This class enables customers to book Prusa i3 MK3S and MK3S+ 3D printers at the Stanley A. Milner Library's Makerspace. Once you've completed this online class, you will complete your certification with staff during your first 3D printer booking at the Makerspace.

This version of our 3D Printing 101 class is on demand and can be completed at any time during the month.
Participants will receive a Microsoft Forms link containing the class content (video lessons and a quiz) one day before the class starts in a reminder email. Please register with an email address so you can receive the link.

In this class EPL will cover:
Basic 3D printing concepts, materials, and equipment terminology.
Safe use of a 3D printer, guidelines for use at EPL, and material fees.
Key design constraints
Profiles, settings, and slicing process with PrusaSlicer.
For this course, it's recommended that:
Participants are comfortable typing, mousing, and navigating computer files and folders.
Participants create a free TinkerCAD account before the class.
Participants download the free software PrusaSlicer (drivers & apps) to follow along with the slicing demonstration.
This class is primarily designed for ages 12 and up. Customers under 12 must be accompanied by a caregiver during 3D printing bookings.
