 Introduction to World Building – Who needs it? Why and how to build a world.

◦ The Edmonton Writers Group presents a series of 12 workshops on creative writing.
◦ This sixth session deals with world building, as virtually all fiction writing needs to do this to some degree to allow the reader to make sense of what the author is trying to say. Some genres need very little (e.g., Historical Fiction), while others such as Science Fiction & Fantasy can need a lot depending on various factors such as sub-genre, etc.

◦ Participants should bring a notebook or laptop to class.  Future sessions will build on those previously offered.

Writers of all experience and skill levels are welcome.
