Putting the Facts into your Fiction (and non-fiction too)
◦ The Edmonton Writers Group presents a series of 12 workshops on creative writing.
◦ This seventh session deals primarily with how the facts behind the fiction make the story both readable and a joy to read. Many stories will do some research, but gloss over well-known facts hoping that the reader will either ignore them, or won't notice them. We will look over various basic research techniques, where to start looking, and how to go about finding what you want.
◦ Participants should bring a notebook or laptop to class. Future sessions will build on those
previously offered.
Writers of all experience and skill levels are welcome.
Presented by the Edmonton Writers Group. Visit www.edmontonwritersgroup.ca for more information about the group.
