United for Literacy: Reading Circle

3:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Strathcona

Description

United for Literacy believes that everyone has the right to literacy and education in a positive and safe environment that focuses on meeting each persons' unique needs. In our Reading Circle Program, elementary aged learners (age 7-12) will have an opportunity to be a part of a fun environment that is focused on building positive memories and experiences around learning and reading. Learner's will also have the opportunity to work one on one and in small groups with caring and responsive literacy volunteers. Together, volunteers and learners will play games, do activities, read and write, and build confidence to bring out the reader in everyone!

Formerly Frontier College, United for Literacy has partnered with Edmonton Public Libraries to make Reading Circles a reality. Our programs are volunteer based so registration is subject to our volunteer capacity.

If you are interested in registering your child for the program, please complete our waitlist form HERE. You will be contacted via phone or email once a spot becomes available. We currently do not have estimates on our wait time.
