Events › Soldering Class and Certification

The first part of this class will be Soldering Certification and then you will practice your soldering skills on a high quality PCB and end up with something fun!  After taking this class you will be able to book the soldering equipment in the Makerspace to work on your own projects.

The class will be delivered in-person in the Fab Lab at the Stanley A. Milner library. Please note that food and drinks are not permitted in the Fab Lab; water in a spill-proof container is allowed. We also require customers in the Fab Lab wear closed toed shoes and pants.

To participate in this class:
Customers must be 13 years of age or older to participate.

• Content and activities shared in the class are designed for ages 13 and up.

All participants must sign the Makerspace waiver prior to the class and agree to follow EPL’s Customer Code of Conduct (PDF download).

• A parent or guardian must sign the waiver for anyone under 18 prior to their participation.

By registering, customers agree to arrive to the class Ready to Make*. On the day of the class or event, you may be asked to complete a Ready to Make Acknowledgement and Sign-in Form. Please let staff know if there is anything they should be made aware of with regards to your readiness to participate safely in the class, event or activity.

*Ready to Make means being able to safely perform a task or activity or use a piece of equipment. It means being free from alcohol, drugs, controlled substances or any medications that may impact your ability to safely participate in EPL services and programming. It means being well-rested, healthy and alert in order to ensure you are fully able to focus on the task at hand.
