The Kitchen: Frybread Tacos with Chef Holly Holt

1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Stanley A. Milner (Downtown)

Description

Frybread Tacos with Vegan friendly options

Join Chef Holly as she guides you through the process of preparing Frybread, a dish utilized by the Indigenous peoples of Turtle Island. We will prepare all the fixings to create a deliciously messy ‘taco’; Ground beef and/or lentils, shredded lettuce, cheese, tomato, fresh salsa and lime cream. We will discuss the history of Frybread from an Indigenous perspective as we enjoy our dish accompanied with tea. Go home with leftovers and Chef Holly’s list of book recommendations by Indigenous Authors.
