Description

United for Literacy believes that everyone has the right to literacy and education in a positive, safe environment that focuses on meeting each learner's unique needs. In our Reading Circle Program, elementary aged learners (ages 7-12) will have an opportunity to be a part of a fun environment that is focuses on building positive memories and experiences around learning and reading. Learners will work one-on-one and in small groups with caring and responsive literacy volunteers. These volunteers will play games, do activities, read and write with learners, and help build their confidence and bring out the reader that's in everyone!

United for Literacy has partnered with Edmonton Public Libraries to make Reading Circles a reality. Registration is required to attend the program and spots are limited based on our volunteer capacity. If a spot is not available upon inquiry, please request to be placed on our waitlist.
