Events › Beginner Conversation English Language Learning (CLB-assessed)

Come join this class to develop essential speaking and listening skills at the beginning level! You will chat with fellow learners about everyday topics and learn to express yourself in a supportive learning environment. You will also expand your vocabulary and improve your pronunciation.

This class is for English language learners whose skills are levels Pre- CLB to CLB 2 according to the Canadian Language Benchmark (Pre CLB, CLB 1 and CLB 2). Registration and CLB assessment scores are required before joining. If you have not completed an assessment, you will need to complete one for placement purposes. 

Number of participants is limited to 25.

This class is presented in partnership with PALS (Project Adult Literacy Society). PALS is a charitable organization based in Edmonton that offers free tutoring to adult learners who want to improve their basic literacy – reading, writing, comprehension, math, English language, and digital skills.
