Stanley A. Milner (Downtown)

Description

Ready to take your 3D design skills to the next level? Join us at Advanced 3D Printing for Youth!

In this club, we’ll dive deeper into 3D modeling techniques, troubleshoot designs, and experiment with more advanced tools. Whether you want to create functional gadgets, detailed miniatures, or creative prints, this is your chance to push your understanding of 3D printing!

EPL staff will provide guidance and feedback as you refine your designs!

Each participant’s final design will be 3D printed for free and available for pickup at your local EPL branch.

Recommended for ages 9-15 with prior experience in TinkerCAD or 3D design.

If attendees want to create an object larger than 6cm x 6cm x 6cm, parents must complete the certification and bring a USB to the class so that the Makerspace can support with processing the print!

To 3D print at the Makerspace:

  1. An adult (or youth aged 12+) must be certified to 3D print, which is a quick online process found on our website!
  2. Book the printer by calling 780-944-5342, email makerspace@epl.ca, or chat face to face with Makerspace staff!
  3. Slice the design in the Makerspace, in Children's library, in our class, or on your own devices!
  4. Bring the file on a USB to the Makerspace to process.

Other branches with on-the-floor 3D printing services are: Abbottsfield, Mill Woods, and Capilano!
