Respected yet once considered controversial, they are now celebrated both in Quebec and internationally for shaping a distinctive women’s literature. Through candid interviews and vivid excerpts from their work, the film explores how they challenge literary norms and spotlight the politics of language. From personal to global issues - relationships, justice, poverty, loneliness, women’s spirituality and the future - their voices resonate with feminist insight, poetic rhythm, and transformative vision" (NFB).
