Description

Attention authors!  Are you ready to turn your digital files into a physical book? This class is ideal for authors who have completed their manuscripts and wish to use EPL’s bookbinding equipment to make a perfect bound softcover book.

To check if your book is ready for binding, look at the "Are You Ready to Print Checklist" click here.

This class will cover:

  • Hands-On Binding: Use the library’s high-tech equipment to bind your book, guided by our instructors.
  • Finishing Touches: Learn how to apply the final touches to ensure your book is polished and professionally presented.

To register for this class, you must submit your book block and cover spread in-person to Makerspace Staff at least 1 week prior to this class. You will be registered for the Bookbinding Hands-on Binding class when you submit and pay for your book file.

NOTE: THERE IS A COST TO PRINT AND BIND YOUR BOOK. The cost depends on the number of pages in your book.

A MAXIMUM OF FIVE (5) BOOKS PER PERSON CAN BE PRINTED/BOUND AT ONE BINDING CLASS

Bookbinding at EPL is great for prototyping and small production (up to 5 books in a session). If you are looking to print and bind on a larger scale, inquire about our list of local and online alternatives.

If you are interested in bookbinding at EPL, but do not have a book to bind, you can attend the Personalized Notebook class. There is a $7.50 cost for the notebook class.
