Join authors Crystal Gail Fraser and Sara Komarnisky for an evening conversation about their nationally bestselling book Talk Treaty to Me: Understanding the Basics of Treaties and Land in Canada.
Treaties shape everyday life across much of Canada, yet many people were never taught what treaties are, how they came to be, or why they continue to matter today. In this accessible and engaging discussion, Fraser and Komarnisky will explore the histories and ongoing significance of treaties, relationships to Land, Indigenous sovereignty, and responsibilities shared by Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples alike.
Blending history, storytelling, and contemporary examples, this event invites audiences into an honest and approachable conversation about truth, reconciliation, and what it means to live on treaty Lands today. There will be time for audience questions and discussion following the presentation.
Books will be available for purchase.
Free event. Registration required.
