Poetry, because of its classical and sometimes complex roots, can sometimes feel inaccessible to people outside of academic or university groups. In this seminar, join award-winning, self-taught local poet Gavin Bradley to see how you can make your first steps towards becoming a poet, without enrolling in a university degree. From building your own literary canon to submitting poems to welcoming venues for emerging poets, you’ll cover all the top tips for becoming a DIY Poet!

GAVIN BRADLEY is an award-winning writer from Belfast, Northern Ireland, currently living in Edmonton, on Treaty 6 territory. His work has appeared in The Irish Times, The North, Best New British and Irish Poets, and Glass Buffalo.
