The film demystifies the mythos of Jackie Kennedy while showing her struggles to leave a legacy for herself and her husband. Larrain leaves the question of whether that legacy was earned unanswered and shows how Americans make myths and…

Quite interesting to see the tragic events happening through the eyes of Mrs. Kennedy as well as the thoughts and feelings about the aftermath. Though pretentious at times, Natalie Portman acts reasonably well.

Sometimes it takes a pair of foreign eyes to reinterpret a moment in one country’s history, a point made perfectly clear in Chilean director Pablo Larraín’s biopic of Jaqueline Kennedy. Told in flashback as the former First Lady (Natalie…

Natalie did a good acting job but what a sad, boring movie.

This was a very beautiful film! The cinematography and acting (especially by Natalie Portman) were the best aspects of the movie. The way this film portrays Jackie Kennedy’s grief and sorrow following JFK’s assassination is so stunningly…

This a semi-satisfactory filling-in of the Kennedy myth. If all you want is a re-enactment of the 60 days (or so) around the 1963 assassination, this is an OK item. Don't look for any deep analysis of what/where Jackie was coming from.

It reminded me of Pulp Fiction which I did not want to be reminded of (brain splattering). Normally I like movies with strong women but this was the exception. It would have helped if Portman was made up to look more like Jackie. The movie…

It's understandable that this was not a blockbuster movie and I explain why. There is blood and a dead body but cars do not explode, and the blood oozes from president's head and not from a naked body of a bimbo. Also, the “f” word is not…

Just very slow and sprawling. It was agonizing to watch.

Didn't like this at all. Very disappointed in the screen play. Perhaps this is the masculine perspective of a grieving, shell-shocked Jackie ...It drew no sympathy from me.

No pleasure in this dramatization of a portion of the life of Jackie Kennedy. Portman's portrayal was unpleasant and melodramatic. A movie about about a charming lady staring a lackluster actress with no charm.

For the Kennedy fans who want a depiction of yet another perspective to the infamous Kennedy assassination - a wife/mother's perspective. A positive tribute to Jackie. What did the Kennedy clan do to generate gun-toting-sniper enemies -…

If you can't sleep, this movie will help you! It is tedious and the sound track is awful. The movie portrays Jackie Kennedy as a vapid, dimwitted woman with a speech impediment. Go watch the White House Tour available on youtube. It…

This whole film was done in a very interesting way. Excellent score and cinematography... and Natalie Portman was outstanding as Jackie. I liked that it gave a peek behind the curtain of the pristine Kennedy facade... it showed Jackie with…

One is left realizing that separating the real Jackie from who Jackie wanted us to think she was is impossible. Other than that, it was 100 minutes of waiting for something and ultimately being disappointed.

Natalie Portman was an excellent 'Jackie'. I found Jackie so demanding and pushy, I wonder if she was like that in real life. Nevertheless, Jackie Kennedy wanted her husband to be remembered and she did an admirable job of doing that. …

I thought Natalie Portman did an amazing job as Jackie, she definitely got her voice/accent spot on. But the movie itself didn't hold my attention (I began to FF scenes). There were some interesting scenes and I did feel for Jackie in all…

Excellent movie but very heartbreaking. It puts you in hers shoes & has you see & feel what a horrific, traumatic & depressing experience she went through when her husband was assassinated. I choked up a lot, it made me cry. I really…

Is the disillusionment with Natalie Portman's acting or with our conception of what Jackie Kennedy was like?? It is most likely the former where the actress didn't fully understand the former First Lady. Unfortunately, it didn't help us…

I thought the movie might get better as it progressed, but I was wrong. Also I couldn't remember seeing any non-white actors - in a movie set in america..

Horrid. Was she really that much of an airhead as this movie portrays? I have no idea. JFK is proof positive that the people you vote for are not the people who rule you... Less than one star or whatever the new symbol the library uses…

I enjoyed the movie very much. There were some difficult scenes for me because I still mourn the loss of a president who could have made a huge impact for the better of america. Many of the thins JFK and his brother Bobby wanted to do are…
