Max Allan Collins lovingly completed long lost novel set after I, the Jury with lots of World War II references.
Some vacation for recovering Mike & Velda! Novel may have steak & potatoes plot ,but it was well executed & tasty for the reader. Plus the secondary characters from goon in police suit to in the closet gang leader saying please to Mike when he thought Mike going to kill his subordinates very interesting.
Chameleon serial killer I should have suspected.
Grim novel counterbalanced by Mike & Velda sexual bantering.
