Great novel - 2017 read
I really liked this book, even though the first part was really sad. The second part was great. Would recommend it to anyone who likes a love story. Liz
It was like reading 2 separate love stories and I don't think it was connected well at the end.
Wonderful book, interesting characters
this is a wonderful book by Danielle steel.. I enjoyed the book very much. will read it again from time to time.It had twists and turns in the story which made it special. I thought the book was very well written I enjoyed the stories very much.
It seems after reading Friends Forever and now this book, that Ms Steele has a fascination with individuals coping with the death of a loved one. Really, when you read DS it is for a bit of fluff.
i agree with sablegirl about that danielle puts her many child to write few of her books, i think, but i love this story danielle is deffenetly a great author..
My first by this author was very different than usual contemporary romance,
I had never read anything by Danielle Steel, and I liked the synopsis for 'Until The End Of Time' so thought I would give her a try.
Several reviewers complain that this is not up to her usual standards so since I have no past experience with her writing,I will have to try some more, even though I liked this book very much.
I thought it was very well written with excellent character development, and it kept me very interested from begining to end,and I finished it in two sittings.
It is actually two love stories. The second one involves an Old Order Amish girl and as strict as they are I found the ending totally unbelievable,so I deducted one star for that, because she should have known that, was not a plausible ending,if she had done her research.
I appreciated that there was no graphic sex, just two closed-bedroom-door,incidents between husband and wife, and only a couple mild curse words said.
This story was a bit different from most of the Danielle Steel stories I've read . . . and I loved it!! Two love stories in one, intertwined about 40 years apart. Loved that the story is about down-to-earth, real people instead of the extremely wealthy characters that are most often in Danielle's stories. 8 out of 10 for me--very enjoyable read!!
Danielle Steel's books may not be the finest in literature but she certainly has interesting and different story lines. In this story of spanning two lifetimes Steel explores the love story of Jenny and Bill and then in a surprising twist of fate, she is forced to abandon that story and decades later follow another love story - that of an Amish girl, Lillibet, and a publisher, Bob. The plot is simple but it does tug at the reader's heartstrings.
