In this spin on Moby Dick. Captain Ahab is madly determined to kill a great white dragon. They did a good job on the dragons; but, I too was bothered with how the heck they were powering the land ship... maybe it runs on dragon vitriol?

It's OK but nothing great. Just a different twist to Melville's Moby Dick. I thought that the land yacht was a hoot. How was it powered?

This adaption of the classic "Moby Dick" by Melville,.. is set among medievil dragon hunters. The original film adaption of "Moby Dick", with Gregory Peck as Ahab, is very well worth seeing,.. either again, or as preperation before seeing "Age of the Dragons". I LOVE dragons,..and these fossil/reptile/bat-wing creations are some of the most believable that I've seen! And I also liked the rusty old 'land-ship'. But the rest of the film is ...'uneven'. I found Glover's performance overwrought and weak. It IS an interesting scripting idea though,.. and I gave it stars (4 out of 5) for the other actors, the production values, and for those wonderful dragons ! (P.S. Kev's PICkS : For a much superiour adaption,.. check out "The Outlander", based on the epic saga "Beowolf".)

The best adaptation of Moby Dick to a tee (in Dragon form, of course)! Down spot: some very bad acting (OK, a lot...even w/ Danny Glover in the film)
