Carolyn Hart's "irresistible cozy sleuth"* is back--good-hearted ghost Bailey Ruth Raeburn just can't say no to an earthly rescue, even when maybe she should…

Bailey Ruth loves to return to earth as an emissary from Heaven's Department of Good Intentions. Problem is, she's a bit of a loose cannon as far as ghosts go--forgetting to remain invisible, alarming earthly creatures--so she's far from the top of department head Wiggins's go-to list for assignments.

That's why she's surprised when the Heaven-sent Rescue Express drops her off at a frame house on the outskirts of her old hometown, Adelaide, Oklahoma, where a young man is playing the drums. What kind of rescuing does he need--drum lessons? But when a window cracks and a rifle barrel is thrust inside, only Bailey Ruth's hasty intervention saves Nick Magruder from taking a bullet. When she materializes to reassure him, she finds she can't go back to vanishing. What gives?

It turns out she's been tricked by Nick's late aunt--Delilah Delahunt Duvall--to come to the young man's rescue, which means she isn't back on earth in service of the department. Wiggins has no idea where she is--and now she may be trapped in Adelaide forever. Unless she can help Aunt Dee snare the person who wants her nephew dead…

I am usually open to & looking for Authors of good series of books. I was fortunate to trip across this book by Carolyn G. Hart when I was looking for something else. I usually try to find books with the cross (Christian symbol) on them so I won't accidentally end up with a smutty, foul language book. However, this book didn't have that symbol and did have a few spots of bad language (briefly) which I skipped over. More importantly this book is a delightful, light read that will allow one to escape for a while to this magical world of (ghost) Bailey Ruth. If you like light-hearted mysteries that will hold your attention without bogging you down, this book may just be for you. While I have not yet finished and discovered who did it, I am on pg. 331 of 441 so I immediately had to go on-line and find the rest of the series for "A Bailey Ruth Ghost Novel." It is a rare thing to find that book that holds your attention despite all of the news and chaos going on in this everyday world. But when you do, cherish it for every page that it is worth. Perhaps God has given you a entertainment, a few moments of solitude and reprieve from the chaotic world. I certainly consider Ghost Gone Wild to be one of those blessings for me and will be assured to read the rest of the series as available.
