I am a bit of a Sherlock Junkie so pretty much any version would get the thumbs up from me, but this modern version is so clever it is a must see for any Holmes fan.
Pure entertainment. Character-driven drama.

Such a great series! Sometimes when a series gets updated, it doesn't work out well but this update is fresh, smart and intriguing. Highly recommended.

QuotesAdd a Quote
Holmes to Watson in "The Great Game:" Ordinary people fill their heads with all kind of rubbish and that makes it hard to get at the stuff that matters.
Sherlock Holmes (to Watson, Lestrade, & Anderson, who are collectively dumbfounded after Holmes' rapid-fire systematic mystery explanation): "Look at you lot -- you're all so vacant. Is it nice not being me? It must be so relaxing."
John: (After Sherlock's explanation-monologue.) Fantastic!
Lestrade: And a Happy New Year(!)
"I love the brilliant ones. Always desperate to be caught." -Sherlock Holmes
Coarse Language: There is exactly one swear word in this series. "Stupid" and "Idiot" are used more frequently.
Violence: People punch and hit and strangle other people. Blood is seen occasionally. Not gory; it's more thrilling than frightening.
