This is the second book I have read by Laura Child and I was hoping that it would not be like the first but, unfortunately, it was. Boring! There is just too much trivial chatter between the characters and too much detail about nothing activities that does little to enhance or progress the story. The story is very basic, the characters are flat and I just don't care about the mystery.

I enjoy this series Cackleberry Club mysteries. I like the setting - the cafe along with the book store and craft nook. I would be at the Cackleberry Club everyday for breakfast.
Always happy to see Suzanne catch the killer and how it all goes down is priceless. Looking forward to the next one Scorched Eggs.

Fun read. I enjoy books by this author very much. I do kinda wonder why bad things keep happening in this tiny town.
