Slow start, blink-and-you'll-miss-it ending. It seemed like Vanessa had the attention span of a goldfish because people kept telling her the same things in almost exactly the same words within two pages. The classes/practices got repetitive--they could have been replaced with more lore. I wanted to know what was happening, not watch nothing happen and have to keep yelling at Vanessa for going out with Obviously Evil McEvilson.

I loved this book and read it several times. It keeps your attention and doesn't leave you unsatisfied/at a cliff-hanger at the end
