So dang fun! Exactly what I look for in a ff book. Bonding & adventure. I adore Mike Allred's style as well It was super rad to see my fav characters drawn by him!

Fun and funny volume, but it takes a bit too long to get the story going. A promising start to the series though.

Good starting point for someone who hasn't read an F4 title before

I like Fraction's writing, he does relationships between principles well, and his humour is genuinely funny...but I feel they could've done something more interesting with the Darla character than just stick her in a "Thing" suit.

Marvel had a great idea combining the first comic books for both the Fantastic Four and the FF (Future Foundation) in a single Volume, giving us a good overview of everything that is happening in the greatest superhero family.
The Fantastic Four are going away for a year in a space and time faring machine, and given the time travel part of it only 4 minutes will pass on Earth if everything goes as planned. To nobody's surprise nothing goes as planned, so the backup team they left to cover for them for four minutes end up more involved than planned.
I love the focus on family the team has, as well as the fact that the Future Foundation is still a thing - it felt that it would be a short term plot during the whole Johnny Storm death storyline (2011)

A great start to a new series, with a satisfying blend of themes: the adventures of the FF family and its various hangers-on, and the struggle of Ant-Man, a troubled anti-hero and reluctant leader of the FF's backup team. One to watch.

A new era for Marvel's first family, in this collection of the first three issues of Fantastic Four and its sister title, FF, after the latest renumbering. Reed, Sue, Ben, and Johnny take the kids on a trip through space and time (with Reed having reasons of his own), leaving behind a team to hold down the fort in their absense. The new creative teams have a tall order ahead of them, with taking over for the outstanding work of Jonathan Hickman. Matt Fraction has a bit of a hit and miss record with comics, but early on he seems to be doing well. His character take on the Thing feels good, and his writing FF actually comes across as more intriguing, assembling a group of heroes- with their own history in the Fantastic Four or ties to members of the team- to mentor the various students of the Future Foundation. It's the art here that makes the difference. I've always liked Mark Bagley's work, and he does well with Fantastic Four. Mike Allred is the artist for FF, and I'm not particularly a fan of his work, though he does have his fans.
