He looks right, but what's with her?

I'm really sure not what to think about this book. It's fast paced but full of jumbled ideas... there's a bit of Vampire Academy with the school set up and the classes/training... there's a bit of the Hunger Games with the callous & senseless death among the initiates... there a bit of the House of the Night in the meangirl sabotage... and finally there's a bit of the Gallagher Academy with the 007ish escapades. Ultimately I don't have a good feeling about Annelise and Ronan since he can manipulate her emotions with a single brush of his fingers. I think this series has potential, but I won't know until I read the second book (Vampire Kisses) coming out in Feb 2012.
