"Alien: Isolation is a first-person survival horror game which captures the fear and tension evoked by Ridley Scott's 1979 classic film. Players find themselves in an atmosphere of constant dread and mortal danger as an unpredictable, ruthless Xenomorph is stalking and killing deep in the shadows. Underpowered and underprepared, you must scavenge resources, improvise solutions and use your wits, not just to succeed in your mission, but to simply stay alive"--From

Addictively terrifying. You're going to spend a lot of time hiding in cupboards working up the courage to step out.

The Alien games have always been one of the biggest case of how movie based video games are usually terrible, and with releases like Colonial Marines and Alien V Predator, is not hard to see why. However Alien Isolation is one of the few games that does it right. The game isn't based upon being a soldier and just gunning through waves and waves of xenomorphs, it's about hiding and evading a xenomorph aboard your station. The visuals are really good and the whole atmosphere is very dark and gloomy, which add nicely to the tension you feel when trying to avoid the alien. The gameplay is incredible, while sneaking around and avoiding an entity wouldn't seem like a lot of fun, the game makes your heart race throughout the entire game, it is stressful, scary and intense. Alien Isolation is a great game, it is an example of how to do video games based on movies right. If you like the Alien movies or are even just a fan of horror and suspense games, then I would highly recommend taking a look at Alien Isolation Rating: 4 out of 5. @ToBeRisen of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board
