Very dark, and not what you'd expect in the end, but fitting and true to the experiences of high school students.

This novel was sad, shocking and very deep. I found that one of the themes in this novel was how people judge one another. How ugly a thing it can be. The author puts us, as readers, in a position to judge, so when the truth is revealed, it makes us feel reflective of ourselves. I think that made the message much more powerful.
At times I found the novel a tiny bit slow, but it was very interesting and kept me reading. I thoroughly enjoyed The Night My Sister Went Missing. Carol Plum-Ucci has not disappointed me!
