There was an earlier edition of this book that was much racier....; especially a scene in a coach heading to Pemberely..... The library does carry it.... this version is too tame... unless you are a blue-haired old granny of prissy sensibilities...

This book was fine. It covered the next 25-30 years of the lives of Elizabeth and her family and friends. There was nothing objectional in it, and it was interesting to read her take on what might have happened next. I loved that she covered what was actually happening historically in Europe at this time and wove it into the story. It was irritating, however, to read multiple times about how they had almost never realized their love for each other, or how they knew they would be the happiest couple on Earth. This bugged me enough that I probably won't read any of the many sequels to this book.
