I took a flyer on borrowing this movie, I am glad I did. Very well done, very well acted. Even watching in english subtitles did not deter from the movie. The battle sequences were very realistic and excellent.

The story itself centring around Captain Gu was well portrayed. Definitely worth watching. A glimpse into Chairmen
Mao's PLA versus the Nationalists and them helping the North Koreans.Circa 1948-51.

A Chinese PLA veteran trying to restore his old comrades dignity and honor. He is the only survivor after his whole company was wiped out. Lots of blood in the fighting scenes.
