This unconventional biography of Suzanne Mallouk, friend of the author and muse of Jean-Michel Basquiat provides interesting insights into the art world of 1980s New York. A love story, incredibly well done.

A very interesting and unusual biography.

Beautiful, poetic biography of Basquiat and his sometimes girlfriend. Quite a chronicle of the gritty, drug fueled art world at that time. The talented Basquiat was troubled and his drug use led to what appears to be extreme emotional abuse of Suzanne. The ending was astonishing in a good way.

Poetic vignettes of a life shared between Basquiat and his lover and muse Suzanne Mallouck. I loved the formatting of this biography! The brief and beautifully written entries brought to life this couple's tumultuous history in a way that a traditional biography could not have. A hypnotic look at principle players in the NYC art world in the 1980s.
