This whole series is predicated on the thought that if you could go back into time, could you change and become something other than you are now? The story doesn't really manage to keep this in mind the whole way through, and now that Ambrose has no ability to return to the past to influence events, and has told Nick to stop changing everything, that aspect has been cut free from the plot in some ways. It was an enjoyable read, but not as good as her other series.

As a big fan of Sherilyn Kenyon, I have been following this series from book 1. It seems to be dragging out the story about Nick, but I still enjoyed it very much.

This series needs to end. I love these characters but it needs to come to a conclusion.

"Nick's gaze never left hers as he rattled off his list with ease. 'Nashira. Xev. Dagon. Aeron. Kody. Caleb.'"
