The original is still a classic. Even the remixes for the 1979 Quadrophenia film are great. This, however, is like my overly-dramatic operatic parodies of Quadrophenia while singing in the shower. Pete, sometimes you think too much.

Agreed, greatest album of all time! Yet, if someone wants to try to rerecord, I am always open to listen to a tribute. Who knows, we might find a different treasure, but The Who versions will always be the best, because they understood the angst, the pain and the neurosis of being a teen. So many movies and songs have been written on the teen topic, but no one has ever explored it like Pete and the boys. Can you see the real me? Can ya, can ya?

I agree. This album is one of the all time greats. Poss my fave album of all time. Leave it alone.

What's next? A disco version of My Generation? I think Quadrophenia was the best album by the Who. Why mess with greatness?
