This book has a great cover. Captain America is now the sidekick who used to be named Falcon. He is an interesting character, but is a little diluted here. The Super-hero team is a genre all to itself. They have been popular for a long time, but are difficult to write well. Especially with big teams, often characterization is lost in working every hero into the story-line, a "touch-every-base" kind of syndrome. That is the trouble here, even though three of the heroes are a father and two sons. The Blue Marvel and his two sons are cosmic heroes, and also black. However, other than saying "Dad" the relationship between them is not explored. The cosmic aspect of the story is interesting, as the villains are from a universe outside of our own. The art is never bad, but most often workman-like and does not seem especially inspired. Did I mention that the book, collecting the first seven issues of the comic, has a great cover.

This says vol. 1, but it's really not, and it requires previous Mighty Avengers by the same author to understand what is going on.

It is however a worthy continuation.
