Light pollution is sometimes not closely considered in conversations about pollution. As a result, DARK MATTERS is a particularly valuable addition to resources on the subject. The author offers compelling scientific facts about the impact of light on various species. She further increases the book's appeal by sharing biographical anecdotes to highlight her growing awareness of the subject. With its curricular links, I highly recommend this book for both classroom use, and for personal-interest reading.
