Blood on Snow Jon is on the run. He has betrayed Oslo's biggest crime lord: The Fisherman. Fleeing to an isolated corner of Norway, to a mountain town so far north that the sun never sets, Jon hopes to find sanctuary amongst a local religious sect. Hiding out in a shepherd's cabin in the wilderness, all that stands between him and his fate are Lea, a bereaved mother, and her son, Knut. But while Lea provides him with a rifle and Knut brings essential supplies, the midnight sun is slowly driving Jon to insanity. And then he discovers that The Fisherman's men are getting closer...

The second book in the Blood On Snow series

Horrible narration - monotone. Disappointing book by Jo Nesbo. Usually his books are excellent.

Whose daft idea was it to have a female narrate a male's voice
(in a monotone)? I've read lots of his books...very disappointed. The only good point that it's only 5 discs.

This is a very suspenseful story - especially for someone who has read many of Nesbo's books. Kim Gordon (from Sonic Youth) does a fine job narrating and I was on pins and needles as the story approached the end. If you've tried Nesbo's books in the past but found them to be too dark and depressing, consider giving this one a try.
