Even more intense than Volume 1, the main story ends on a surprise when a guest star appears. This is followed by reprints of a zero issue and an annual that fill in some of the backstory.

Second volume in the New 52 reboot series. This one takes the hybrid hero and pits him against his opposite, a creature of death. As before, it probably helps your opinion of this book depending on if you're a fan. I'm not, and found the story and art rather like a drug experience. I think that can be chalked up to the character and premise; I've seen the creative team on other work, and never had problems with them in other occasions.

Liked the art better in volume one. The apperance of Animal Man was a cool suprise. Am reading Animal Man so the Rot fits in well here. Am waiting on Animal Man 2 so maybe Swamp Thing will show up there. Another great 52!
