Midnight Games - How does one get an invitation to this illegal to Pack members game? Hmm, think of that egomanic, information gathering, crazed Saiman and Oh? What is his true form? Add the fabulous major characters and Ah my!

At this point, it would take something incredibly massive to mess up this series.

The Andrews' duo have got a set formula and if you didn't like the first or second book, you're not gonna enjoy the series. It's a little trope-y yet original and the writing is entertaining, and solid. Additionally, it nicely fills my quota for urban fantasy.

More so, I really enjoy Kate as a character. Where Anita Blake ended up tasteless and plain disgusting in the later books, Kate Daniels continues to retain her original personality of bad-assery, even if she always ends up needing to get saved at the end.

Book 3 Of Kate Daniels series, preceded by Magic Burns and followed by a short novella Magic Mourns and then by Magic Bleeds. Follows Kate's further adventures after the flare - this time Kate must compete in the Midnight Games. Great story, good ending. Finally there is one romantic scene with Curran!

Wow, this is so far the best book in this series. I can't believe they just keep getting better.

Loved this book! glad there was more about Dali and Jim. Dali's story in Hexed is what got me started on this series. This book had more characters interacting with Kate and becoming her friends and allies. Her relationship with Curren (the Beast Lord) is moving right along.

Awesome, what can I say. Strong male and female (especially) leads, action packed plot, believable characters and just a little romance/steamy relationships. Good humored writing too.

The third of Kate Daniels adventures in a future Atlanta changed by regular waves of magic. More glimpses of Kate's secret background. Her increasing personal connections to those around her, especially the Pack of werewolves and other were-beasts, pull her out of hiding and into conflicts with powerful faces from her past.

I can't recommend this series enough. Each book is a nice combination between sci-fi/mystery/action and romance all while maintaing a great plot. Each character is so well developed that you feel like you know them. The heroine, Kate Daniels is awesome and I can't decide whether I want to be just like her or have her as my demon-hunting,magical mystery solving best friend :)

(No spoilers). Curran sure has "presence"! I find myself hanging on his every word. No wonder he's been compared to JZB (fever series). Andrews has sure done a good job making the sexual tension fun in this book and you can see their love and respect grow for one another. First half of the book I wanted more Curran and had to be really patient to keep going...

Anyways, this book had really good character development of all Kate's new and old friends... Jim, Dali, Derek, and Andrea & Raphael are a cute side story.

Raphael's comment that he made when he handed Curran the fan in the Arena made me LOL. Loved it!

My imagination got a good workout with this one too...all those crazy monstrosities in the Areana and Reapers' hideout!

The end of this book really turned this book from a 4+ star to a 5 star. There was witty dialogue throughout but the very end was SO...MUCH...FUN!!! I was expecting to be left hanging but instead was left smirking ear to ear! NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND wouldn't rush out and pick up the next book in the series. What a very clever author! I'll be getting Magic Bleeds tomorrow!

Such a great series. This is the third book, after Magic Bites and Magic Burns. Sequels are Magic Bleeds and forthcoming Magic Slays (May 2011).

“His Majesty needs a can-I girl anyway. And I'm not it."
"A can-I girl?" Andrea frowned.
I leaned back. "'Can I fetch your food, Your Majesty? Can I tell you how strong and mighty you are, Your Majesty? Can I pick your fleas, Your Majesty? Can I kiss your ass, Your Majesty? Can I..." It dawned on me that Raphael was sitting very still. Frozen, like a statue, his gaze fixed on the point above my head. "He's standing behind me, isn't he?" Andrea nodded slowly.

"Technically it should be 'may I'," Curran said, his voice deeper than I remembered. "Since you're asking for permission." Why me? "To answer your question, yes, you may kiss my ass. Normally I prefer maintain my personal space, but you're a Friend of the Pack and your services have proven useful once or twice. I strive to accommodate the wishes of persons friendly to my people. My only question is, would kissing my ass be obeisance, grooming, or foreplay?"
